Fabric: Recycled Traditional Guatemalan Ikat.

Production:  This garment is made in the charming town of Antigua, Guatemala by a small women's cooperative.  This product provides employment to women who live in poverty...one of our favorite stories is of Gladys who was able to pay for an expensive heart surgery for her son because of her tailoring work with Liz Alig.  Traditional dress in Guatemala is this plaid 'corta' for a skirt and the embroidered 'huipil' as the shirt.  We can find these excess textiles to transform into more up to date styles.
