PRODUCTION PROCESS:  This dress is made from recycled flour sacks - that’s right just like the dresses your Grandmother used to wear.  These flour sacks are sourced from local markets in Ghana, Africa.  Because of their recycled nature, some of the bags have more noticeable printing on them.  Since it can be hard to source good zippers in Ghana - we decided to design a dress that didn't need a zipper.  SO the back of this dress has a nifty little closure from recycled eclectic buttons.  We love the added flair and think you will too!  Next it is sewn by a group of women entrepreneurs on the coast of Ghana - each has their own tailoring business!  We are happy to support their work.
