Handmade Jewelry from Kenya

Posted on

A few years ago I had the opportunity to work with an amazing organization called Made in the Streets in Nairobi, Kenya. Their goal is to help teens get off the streets of Nairobi by giving them an education and skills so they can get a job. Some of their programs include a salon, tailoring studio, and woodworking shop.

We are super excited to have a few of their handmade jewelry pieces in our Spring collection. Their pendant necklaces are made from excess mahogany from their woodworking shop and the handmade wrap bracelets are inspired by their Swahili culture. Both help fund their training program. View our jewelry collection here.

For the first time Liz Alig will be introducing a Summer Collection in about a month - to make room for these new pieces we are offering you 50% off our Spring collection, which includes these jewelry pieces. Use coupon: SPRING50 Expires: 5/23/16. Excludes wholesale orders.
